Luca Manenti at "Parole tra i luoghi" for an event dedicated to the First World War

On Sunday 18 October 2026, at 3.10 pm, Luca G. Manenti, Scientific Director of the Manlio Cecovini Study Society, will take part in an event dedicated to the First World War as part of the third edition of “Parole tra i luoghi”, the Cross-Border and Mediterranean Publishing Fair, taking place in Trieste from 16 to 18 October.

The event will be held in the Xenia Hall of the Greek Orthodox Community, at Riva 3 Novembre 7, and will feature the presentation of “La guerra dentro” by Fabio Todero, published by Battello Editore. Manenti will be in conversation with the author, exploring the themes of the book and offering the audience an opportunity to reflect on the First World War and its historical, social and human consequences.

The event forms part of this year's fair programme, which focuses on “Multilingualism and Translation” and features three days of book presentations, discussions and debates exploring dialogue between languages, cultures and territories. It provides a particularly meaningful setting in which to examine 20th-century history and the events that shaped communities in the border regions.
