Luca Manenti in Belluno to mark the 80th anniversary of the revival of the lega Nazionale

On Saturday 17 October 2026, at 5.00 pm, Luca G. Manenti, Scientific Director of the Manlio Cecovini Study Society, will be among the speakers at “1946: The Revival of the Lega Nazionale”, an event organised by the Belluno branch of the Lega Nazionale to mark the 80th anniversary of its re-establishment following the Second World War.

The event will take place in the conference room of the “La Terra dei Padri – Belluno APS” Cultural Association, at Via dei Molini 10 in Belluno, and will explore the history of an organisation which, since its foundation in 1891, has played a significant role in the cultural and civic life of Venezia Giulia.

During the event, Luca G. Manenti, historian and author, will deliver a talk entitled “Modest in Resources, Strong in Conviction: The Patriotic Work of the Lega Nazionale in Venezia Giulia (1891–1954)”, tracing more than sixty years of the organisation’s activities, from its origins to the mid-20th century, against the backdrop of the profound political and social changes that shaped the region.

The event will open with contributions from Francesco Demattè, the Lega Nazionale’s delegate for Belluno, and Paolo Sardos Albertini, President of the Lega Nazionale.
