Luca G. Manenti to Participate in the Conference “How Did the Fascist Regime Arise?” in Torre San Giorgio

On Saturday, 27 September 2025, from 4 pm to 7 pm, the C. Sismonda Art Gallery at Casa Bonino in Torre San Giorgio (Cuneo) will host a conference entitled:
“How Did the Fascist Regime Arise? Victor Emmanuel III / Benito Mussolini: 1922–1926.”

The event will explore the political and institutional developments that led to the consolidation of fascism in Italy. Among the key participants will be Prof. Luca G. Manenti, Scientific Director of the International Society for the Dissemination of Manlio Cecovini’s Work on Social and Ethical Historical Studies. Prof. Manenti will join remotely, contributing the perspective of the Cecovini Association to a debate that brings together numerous scholars and prominent national figures.

The conference will be introduced by Branca Lore Muller, President of the Libertas San Giorgio – Culture Section, and Giovanni Rabbia, President of the Giovanni Giolitti Historical Studies Association, and will be chaired by Prof. Aldo A. Mola.

In addition to Prof. Manenti, the discussion will feature a distinguished group of experts, including Prof. Avv. Tito Lucrezio Rizzo, former Security Advisor to the Presidency of the Republic; Prof. Raffaella Canovi of the University of Milan; and Prof. Massimo Nardini of the University of Florence. Also participating will be Prof. Aldo G. Ricci, Superintendent of the Central State Archive, Dr Alessandro Mella, Prof. Giorgio Sangiorgi, Colonel Carlo Cadorna, Prof. GianPaolo Ferraioli of the University of Campania, Prof. Luigi Pruneti of Florence, and General Antonio Zerrillo, offering a comprehensive and multidisciplinary overview of the years that saw the rise of the fascist regime.

The event is promoted by the Municipality of Torre San Giorgio, the Piedmont Regional Army Command, and numerous national and local cultural institutions.
