The presentation of the book on Manlio Cecovini written by Luca Manenti, which took place today at the Circolo della Stampa in Trieste, was an opportunity to delve into the figure of Cecovini and promote the association's new guidelines: "The new course," explained the new president Giuseppe Antonione, "includes two main guidelines the enlargement of the range of action, transforming the association into an instrument of dissemination for historical, social and ethical studies, maintaining a strong connection with the world of scholars of the Masonic phenomenon, and the development of a broader target, which includes operating in an international perspective".
The theme of broadening the target of the sodality born in the memory of Manlio Cecovini is crucial: today, the intention is to focus on themes proper to the culture of freedom and the Masonic vision of civilisation, with particular attention to ethical issues, individual and collective responsibility, in relation to human dignity and the moral and cultural growth of the individual, up to the constant enhancement of the necessary critical sense. "In the new context," Giuseppe Antonione went on to explain, "Manlio Cecovini has gone from being a target of analysis, remembrance and study to becoming the symbol and synthesis of the Association, the subject to whom the Association is named, since he synthesises - through his works and thought - the fields of study towards which the Association will be heading".
